BOOKS:

Our newest book is ROCK-A-BYE BABY. Even though this IS part of the nursery rhyme series, there are some major differences. First off, the author credit is not Kin Eagle, but Danny Adlerman. Secondly, Kim illustrated this one. We love Rob Gilbert's artwork in the first four entries of this series, and in fact Danny & Kim and Roby will be collaborating again soon (more on that later). However, the publisher thought this book required a much more serene, natural approach, and having loved Kim's debut with AFRICA CALLING tapped into her talents for ROCK-A-BYE BABY as well. The book is brand new for Spring 2004, and if you are anxiously awaiting it's release...well, wait no more! Run right out and get your copy!

Our next book is HOW MUCH WOOD COULD A WOODCHUCK CHUCK? This book is unique for a variety of reasons: First off, the manuscript comes from the lyrics of the song from Danny's album, One Size Fits All. Secondly, Kim will be illustrating this one, but so will Roby. Oh, and so will Megan Halsey. And Javaka Steptoe. Kevin Kammeraad. Mickey Paraskevas, Liza Woodruff, Judy Love, Ryan Hipp, Joel Tanis, and Lena Shiffman. Need we say more? OK: The book will also come with a CD of the song, both with AND without vocals, so you can make up compound word verses of your own!

The book is due out by Spring 2005, and if you are anxiously awaiting it's release...well, let's just say you're not alone!

MUSIC:

Soon to be released is the first as of yet untitled album from The BAR (Babjak, Adlerman, Reil), our first release of music for big people, tentatively titled STRIKING WHILE THE IRONY IS HOT. Danny has been writing rock and roll lyrics and music for over twenty years now, and after the release and success of ONE SIZE FITS ALL, decided it was high time he proceeded with what he had always wanted to do: Cut a rock and roll album. In the past few years, so many excellent songs were collaborations with both Kurt Reil of The Grip Weeds and Jim Babjak of The Smithereens , who have both appeared on every track (even those written solo); it was only natural for Danny to conclude that this album was theirs, too. Thus marked the birth of The BAR. As of this writing, the trio is about a track and a half away from having completed the recording; then it's on to mastering, deisgn, liner notes...we'll be looking, most likely, at a spring 2003 release. More details will follow in this space as soon as they make themselves known!

As soon as The BAR has been recorded, Danny and Jim (with help from co-producer, engineer, and drummer extroardinaire Kurt) will be headed back into the House of Vibes studio for a second children's album. This one will be released under Danny Adlerman and Jim Babjak, NOT simply Danny Adlerman and friends. It will be another full length studio release with a great variety of musical styles and genres; if you liked ONE SIZE FITS ALL, you will love the new album; if you didn't like ONE SIZE FITS ALL, you will still love the new album, and if you never purchased ONE SIZE FITS ALL, what are you waiting for?
