AUTHOR-ILLUSTRATOR KIM ADLERMAN HAS A BALL WITH NEW BOOK

Metuchen, NJ — September 20th, 2007-- The Kids at Our House are proud to present OH NO, DOMINO!, a new book by Kim Adlerman. This concept book about circles revolves around a boy playing ball with his dog; the illustrations are bright and cheery, and the lead character Domino is both playful and endearing.  The book comes with a CD, which features a reading by Kevin Kammeraad, and a new, previously unreleased song by award winning children’s musician Danny Adlerman.

Several years in the making, Kim says, “This book has been a journey for me.  I went through four different art styles before deciding the best way to render the story.  In the end, I came to the conclusion that the character and storyline is both winning and simple, and the artwork had to reflect that.  I used color to depict emotion, but kept the movement, the circle concept, and the language on an accesible level for young kids.  It was not easy - but it was a labor of love, and well worth it!”

Fans of Adlerman’s previous works will be pleased to see a pallette and sensibility they are comfortable with, while taking note of her versatility reflected in this new style.

Although an official release date of December 15th is set, there are select outlets where advance copies of Oh No, Domino! will be found; in particular, the Adlermans prefer independent bookstores, specialty shops, and those chain outlets where they will be appearing.

In addition, the accompanying song will be released to various digital outlets inlcuding iTunes as well as radio stations; the field of airplay, outlets, and digital downloads will expand in earnest as of December.
