| Food for Thought is an idea that Kim and Danny came up with in conjunction with Songs for America's Children. Literacy has been a cause of ours for many years now, and while we have always looked to promote literacy and support groups who promote literacy, we have also looked for ways to get books into the hands of these programs. This book, being for charity and published by The Kids at Our House, seemed the perfect vehicle. Here's how the program works: We will make quantities (no minimum) available at a 50% discount for sponsorship only. What this means is if a company decides to sponsor 20 copies, they can do so directly from us at half cost. The books will then be donated in that company's name to an established literacy cause. Checks can be made payable directly to WHY (although physically sent to us so we can log it in); this way that company enjoys a tax break, too. Finally, labels are applied indicating the company of sponsorship. Full cartons are available at a 55% discount, so books can be quite inexpensive, there is promotional value, a tax write off, and two needy groups are being served at once: World Hunger Year, and the literacy starved. It's feeding hungry bodies by feeding hungry minds! Everybody wins. Here are some of the companies who have supported Food for Thought: |

Food for Thought. We hope you will consider sponsoring books today - while the program has to date been open only to corporate sponsors, we would gladly open it further to anyone wishing to both help the hungry and support literacy while enjoying the many benefits described above. Please drop us an email if you're interested! Contact the Adlermans for more info. |
